VOCABULARY UNIT 7

Calm = calma
 Calm is an adjective meaning peaceful, quiet; particularly used of the weather, free from wind or storm, or of the sea, as opposed to rough.
He accepted their problems with calm.


Chili peppers = chile
Chili pepper ( chilli, chilli pepper, chilli, chillie, chili, and chile) is the fruit of plants of chile
Chili peppers are the principal ingredient in the Mexican foods.


Chocolate= chocolate
Chocolate: a food made from roasted ground cacao beans
Lucia is addicted to chocolate


Cooked in = cocinados en
Cooked in: is the process of preparing food in any sauce
He likes to eat duck cooked in its sauce
Cooked with = cocinados con
Cooked with: is the process of preparing food with other ingredients
The hotel chef likes to cook any food with wine


Delicious = delicioso
Delicious: when any food has a special flavor
The little girls love desserts because they are delicious for them

Energetic = energetico
 Energetic: with a lot of; or full of, energy
A good breakfast all mornings makes you feel energetic all day.

Excited = emocionado
Excited: is an elevation in energy level above an arbitrary baseline energy state
The students are excited aboutr the final test




Flavored with = con sabor a
Flavored with  action to give any special flavor in any food
The boy likes his ice cream flavored with chocolate and cookies


In love = en amor, enamorado
In love is a term that is described as a pleasurable feeling of excitement and wonder associated with love
Teenagers are in love all the time.

Irritable= irritable
Irritable easily irritated or annoyed; readily excited to impatience or anger.
The boss is an irritable person



Made in = hecho en
Made in: is the country of manufacture, production, or growth where an article or product comes from
The best spaghettis were made in Italy



Made with = hecho con
Made with: is the form of manufacture, production to prepare any food
A delicious soup is made with enough vegetables and meat

Miserable = miserable
Miserable very poor quality or condition
The old dog had a miserable life in the street


Nervous = nervioso
Nervous relating to the nerves; also: originating in or affected by the nerves
 She is nervous about her job interview


Nuts = nueces
Nuts  is a hard-shelled fruit of some plants having  seed
The best chocolate is made with nuts

Prepared in = preparada en
 Prepared in is a form to make any food
She likes to eat meat prepared in a grill
Relaxed = relajado
Relaxed being free of or relieved from tension or anxiety
 They were relaxed the last week on the beach


Seasoned with = sasonado with
 Seasoned with  the process of imparting flavor to, or improving the flavor of, food
Thai food is seasoned with many species to give it  a good taste


Served on = servido en
Served on  the form how the food  is shown on the table
Fish served on one salad base is elegant to present at the table


Stressed = estresado
Stressed  is a feeling that's created when we react to particular events.
The kitchen manager was stressed tree weeks ago because he had too much work.

Stressed out = estresado
Stressed out= tired, nervous, or depressed as a result of overwork, mental pressure, etc
The professional shopper felt stressed out this weekend.


Turkey = Pavo
Turkey large gallinaceous bird with fan-shaped tail; widely domesticated for food
A delicious food is roasted turkey


Upbeat = optimista 
Upbeat is to feel happy and optimist
The lady is upbeat in spite of her having many problems

Wheat flour = harina de trigo
Wheat flour is a powder which is made from grinding up cereal grains, other seeds, or roots
The principal ingredient of  the bakery is the wheat flour
